Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations-USA (UOSSM USA) was founded by healthcare professionals and incorporated in January of 2015 in the State of Texas, to support the health-related needs and well-being of people and communities affected by crises, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion or political affiliation. UOSSM USA is US nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable, medical humanitarian organization. Our office is in Plano, Texas. We are still a small organization and not well known nation-wide; but have been working in crisis areas since 2012, as part of an international federation, delivering vital emergency and medical aid, primary healthcare, mental health, protection, and nutrition services to the displaced Syrian families inside Syria and refugees in Turkey, and currently working to expand our specialized services to other countries of crisis.
UOSSM USA is looking for a professional individual who will be highly committed to our mission, vision and values, and who will be able to help us expand our presence nation-wide and help us raise funds from different market channels in the USA. UOSSM USA is committed to having a workforce that is representative of the wide community it serves at all levels of the organisation. In this challenging role, you will coordinate campaigns and fundraising activities for mosques and Islamic institutes at a national and local levels in the US. You will be identifying and implementing creative and diverse ways of increasing funds while identifying and developing relationships with key mosques, Islamic institutes, and other types of institutes that have interests in the work we do.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with mosques, planning fundraising activities and experience working in sales with excellent customer services. At least 4-6 years of experience in the field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role, as well as strong negotiation and influencing skills. Candidates should have good knowledge of key fundraising techniques and a thorough understanding of the US Muslim community and voluntary sector. UOSSM USA is looking for a motivated individual who can work well within a diverse team and thrives under pressure. The ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of people and to think creatively will be highly valuable within this role.
