The Valley Ranch Islamic Center is located in Irving, Texas. Its location puts it in the center of the DFW metroplex with easy and quick access to major highways, DFW International airport, and high-end shopping centers and restaurants.
VRIC serves the Muslim communities of Valley Ranch, Las Colinas and Coppell, along with other neighboring cities. VRIC was established in 2009 to meet the needs of our growing community. Alhamdullilah we have grown tremendously since then and continue to see an increase in our congregation. Full Time Hifz Teacher Job Posting (For Boys and Girls)
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelors or Masters Degree preferred in Hifz/Quran/Arabic/Islamic Studies or related fields
2. Must have ‘Ijaza in Hifz, recitation or other Quranic sciences
3. At least three (3) years of experience in the US in Hifz/ Quran and/ or Islamiyaat instruction
4. Must have excellent Tajweed and Memorization of the Quran
5. Must be experienced with standard curricula like Yassarnal Quran, Ahsanul Qawaid, etc.
6. Strong communications, public relations, and interpersonal skills in Islamic Environment
7. Experience of working alongside Muslim parents within a multilingual, multicultural school community.
8. Proven track record of teaching groups of children at various proficiency levels in Quranic recitation, within
age groups of five to fifteen years.
9. Must be able to effectively teach the basic and advanced rules of Tajweed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide Hifz instructions that emphasize high expectations and results in student success.
2. Provide Hifz/Quran instruction to both full-time and part-time students.
3. Develop performance objectives, monitor, track Hifz progress and an improvement plan for Hifz Students
4. Provide leadership that emphasizes high expectations and results in student success.
5. Mentor and guide paid and volunteer teaching staff.
6. Promote a positive image of the Hifz and Quranic school and maintain a positive working relationship with
children, parents and the community members.
7. Involve parents and other community members in Quranic school activities as required and/or appropriate
8. Demonstrate Tarbiyah awareness of school/community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs.
9. Encourage Islamic behavior in all school activities and enhance school climate.
10. Ensure that school rules and student discipline is appropriate and equitable with Islamic character.
11. Lead Salaah as needed, provide youth Halaqas and Friday Khutbahs (if required), and exhibit positive role
model traits.
12. Comply with Texas state guidelines and educational laws.
Ensure all above responsibilities is strengthened and developed, within the framework of the Qur’an and
Sunnah.
Salary: Salary will be in accordance with experience, education and skills.
