Good Tree Academy, Plano Texas, is seeking a proven leader to serve as the
Principal/Head of School. Good Tree Academy is the 1 st Collin’s County American
Muslim High School and one of the largest and highly recognized PreK-12 Islamic
schools in the DFW area with 300+ students.
This is a critical hire as we continue to excel through a growth period. This position is
responsible for the daily operations of the school and for implementing the vision and
mission of Good Tree Academy.
The Principal/Head of School builds, trains, and leads a highly qualified faculty and
staff, and helps the teachers, staff, parents and students understand, embrace, and
implement Good Tree academy’s vision and strategic mission. Administratively, the
Principal/Head of School will supervise the effective development of Good Tree
Academy’s educational programs, increase the brand value, retention of students
especially in higher grades, and provide input to the Board of Directors on these
initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:
? Masters in educational leadership or related fields from an accredited
college/university (Doctorate is preferred but not required)
? 5 + years of direct experience as a principal in a PK-12 environment
? Current Principal Certificate at time of application
? Proven track record of leadership in an academic environment, community
service, youth mentoring, and outreach initiatives
? Demonstrated acumen for mentoring and guiding the professional development
of classroom teachers
? Proven record of quickly assimilating into new environments, identifying areas for
improvement and affecting change, while cultivating positive relationships
? 5+ years of teaching experience at an accredited school
? Ability to maintain high level of discipline across students and staff
? Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness and
outcomes
? Ability to manage budget and personnel
? Ability to implement policy and procedures
? Ability to interpret data related to school growth, sustainability, and learning
outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
? Islamic & Quranic Education: Intermediate level of education and training is
desired
? Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
