SchoolCity Inc., a K-12 education company based in Santa Clara, CA is growing and looking to add amazing people to our marketing team. SchoolCity provides Curriculum and Assessment software solutions to thousands of teachers across the U.S.

SchoolCity is growing fast and aiming high, and as our new Online Marketing and Inside Sales Support Manager, you'll be part of the team helping to bring our market leading Curriculum and Assessment program to school districts across the US. On this small, innovative and highly motivated team, you will help to bring ideas to fruition, and find solutions that involve getting more for less, to serve K-12 educators.

The Online Marketing and Inside Sales Manger’s role provides the opportunity to refine SchoolCity’s messaging and communication strategy. You will work with the SchoolCity Sales, Curriculum, Assessment and Engineering teams to continuously improve the messaging and value proposition on the SchoolCity web site, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns. You'll get to dream up and execute outbound and inbound marketing campaigns including landing pages, which you will propose and design. As the Online Marketing and Inside Sales Manager, you will also be responsible for SchoolCity’s SEO/SEM strategy and execution - with an emphasis on detailed execution, rigorous optimization, and customer insight. 


You will own and implement SchoolCity’s online marketing roadmap, implement best practices and share your knowledge with our management team. As part of your Inside Sales role you will be researching potential school districts that can potentially be our customers. You will work closely with the Sales team in the Santa Clara office to provide leads gained from the Online Marketing campaigns.

You will be required to qualify leads sourced from Online Marketing campaigns and Shows/Conferences.


You will also be working with our Sales and Business Development team - to drive integration of SchoolCity’s marketing efforts into broader education initiatives with our partners. This role is critical to the success of many important business objectives-growing important customer bases, driving signups, conversions, and increasing awareness of SchoolCity value in the minds of educators.


The ideal candidate has a strong sense of accountability, and a keen focus on delivering solid customer experiences while driving sales.

This is a full-time position located in our Bangalore, India office.


Primary Responsibilities

·         Manage SchoolCity messaging and communications across web, device, email marketing, and social media.

·         Design, execute, manage, and optimize email marketing campaigns, including landing pages for outreach, nurturing and promotion campaigns.

·         Manage SEO and SEM campaigns, including target keywords, copy, and landing pages, generating on-page and off-page recommendations, implementing SEO changes, grow authority through link building and social media.

·         Manage social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+) and post relevant marketing communications as new content, company announcements, press releases, etc.

·         Own reporting and analysis of campaigns, showing total impact of online marketing activities as it relates to signups, leads, sales pipeline, bookings and overall marketing ROI.

·         Proactively communicate findings from online marketing efforts with management team and provide recommendations to leverage these findings.

·         Work with Sales team to channel qualified leads.

·         Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to gather requirements and to translate business needs into technical execution for marketing campaigns.

·         Stay current on industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

·         3 - 5 years previous experience in online marketing in a technology company, preferably in a multichannel environment. Experience in K-12 education a plus.

·         Experience with messaging and communications for SaaS / Consumer Internet products, with strong experience in email and web marketing.

·         Experience working with both Web and Engineering teams to provide the data and design direction required to implement new features.

·         Experience with/interest in learning Google Analytics.
